Spring Shopping List

Hello!

Today is another overcast day in Spokane- not to fear though I have compiled a couple pieces that are on my spring shopping list! I am very excited to try out this springs trends with a mix of classic pieces!

 HIGH WAIST LINEN SHORTS
Red is my favorite color to wear if I am not wearing my typical all black! These high waist shorts have a modern twist to the classic style! I have included the link!

Nordstrom DV by Dolce Vita 'Dino' Gladiator Sandal
Every spring for the past few years I look forward to purchasing new gladiators. This spring I want a simple, tan gladiator. This style with the tassels is really unique, but simple.

Hudson Jeans 'Ferris' Flare Leg Stretch Jeans (Felix Wash)

Fun fact: Not only do I LOVE flared jeans for a fun spring look, but I love this particular jeans, because the name Ferris is the same name as my high school!

Nordstrom Lush Crochet Shoulder Dress (Juniors)

I love summer dresses-in the summer they are practically my uniform and to go to outfit. I especially love this dress. I wear a ton of black, and this dress does come in black however I should try to branch out and try a fun color. What better then a beautiful blush purple color?

These spring pieces makes me excited for the warmth of the upcoming seasons!

Chaps Restaurant aka Bakery Heaven

Hello!
Spokane, WA has a ton of wonderful restaurants, and since my mothers "kitchen" has always consisted of different restaurants I have been raised to love quality restaurants. My favorite restaurant (to date) is Chaps (http://www.chapsgirl.com/)! This couldn't be more of an understatement!

Chaps has a country chic feel to it, and I just adore it! While eating one of their delicious pastries you can look around at their endless ornate decorations from chandeliers to wonderful, yet simple dining tables
and chairs. This restaurant has such an inviting feel.

Unfortunately I did not snap any pictures of my latest meal, or more pictures inside the restaurant. Next time I go I most certainly will. The food is amazing, so it is hard to capture a decent picture before chowing down. If you have the chance go try this fabulous restaurant and bakery! I promise you wont be disappointed!

A New Hobby

Hello all!
Those that know me well know that I absolutely do not cook, and I haven't had much of a desire to do so. I love to eat out! Luckily my parents are the same, and a lot of my friends are too. However deep down I have always wanted to be able to cook`a few special dishes. Dishes that I could be proud to bring to family events and what not. This is going to hopefully be my new hobby. I want to learn to make gourmet, yummy food, but still healthy. Hopefully I can incorporate this into my blog since I feel learning to cook is a journey in itself (and that is the theme of this blog!).
A friend on facebook had this website posted on her page: http://foodgawker.com/popular/favorites/7-days/. The first items up to bat that I am going to try are these recipes:
1. Brie, Ham, and Green Apple Quesadilla
2. Avocado Salad
3. Warm White Bean and Spinach Salad

Wish me luck! I will need it!

Fast Kart (in my case slow kart)

Hello!
This is my second blog post! Tonight I went to Fast Kart for the second time (http://www.fastkartspeedway.com/). I felt as if I made a huge improvement from the last time I went, but apparently I was still very slow! Oh well! I still had a great time even if I went around the corners slow. I wish I had brought my camera to take a couple pictures, however I can describe to you the experience.
You wait in this lounge area, and watch this video. We barely watched the video, and they just turned it off and lead us to the helmet section. A hair net and helmet is required to race, so that was a cute look. The karts are very low to the ground, but super simple. Green peddle means go, and the black one (it might have been red) was the break. I really favored the break peddle I must admit.
The race track was very authentic, but lots of turns. We went for about fifteen minutes which seemed like an hour.
All in all it was a really great experience! Maybe next time I will be even better! :)
My next post I am going to update about my new internship that I am very excited for!
To conclude I found this quote: "The public is the only critic whose opinion is worth anything at all."
Mark Twain
That quote is an interesting one to keep in mind while pursuing a career in public relations!

The First Steps...

Hello! This is not my first official blog post, however I hope this blog post will result in many more! I am trying to commit to becoming a "blogger" and take this journey towards my future career in full stride. I hope to help other Public Relations students, network, and make my own stamp in the blogging world.
I am in my second semester at Gonzaga University, and I am learning the ropes of networking, and job searching for an internship. The world of networking is quite overwhelming, but I am determined to persevere and learn to hold my own! More meaningful posts are to come (promise!!).
